Born January 19, 1985 in Lake Charles, La. He is the son of Monet and Charlie Brashear and has two brothers, Shane and Philip. He graduated from Barbe High School in Lake Charles in 2003, with honors. Brashear went on to play college baseball at the University of Mississippi under former LSU Tiger, Mike Bianco. Brashear is engaged to marry Autumn Rourk of Sulphur, La on January 5, 2008.
